Ayanda African Oils is a cooperative of South African essential oil farmers committed to delivering exceptional quality through direct-from-farm sourcing, certified organic practices, as well as organically grown, and uncompromising quality control, ensuring our oils are 100% pure, authentic, and beneficial for our customers and communities.
Farms
We manage and control the full process, from seedlings to growing the crops, to harvesting, to the distillation of the oil on our many farms in and around South Africa. We’re able to offer our clients a reliable supply of consistent and high-quality oil and hydrosols from our modern, world class distillation facilities.
Our farms currently have over 800 Ha under production.
Distilleries
Our expert distillers employ steam distillation to gently unlock the aromatic potential of plants. This eco-friendly process involves steam passing through plant material, releasing essential oils that separate from the hydrosol (floral water), resulting in high-quality essential oils, with optional hydrosol collection as per customer requests.
Ayanda African Oils operates 9 distilleries with over 800 hectares of crop cultivated for essential oils. This area is ever expanding.
Our state-of-the-art distillation facilities are constructed from food-grade stainless steel. This helps prevent contamination and ensures the volatile essential oils maintain their qualities by not reacting with the distillation equipment.
