Eucalyptus Dives

Eucalyptus Dives (Broad-Leaved Peppermint or Blue Peppermint), is a species of Eucalyptus that naturally exhibits distinct physiological forms or chemical variants (chemotypes) despite looking identical in appearance.

While the most common commercial variant of Eucalyptus dives is rich Piperitone (roughly 39%–48%) alongside α-phellandrene (giving it a minty, camphorous, and herbal profile), another distinct physiological form (often designated as Type C or the cineole variety) produces an oil containing roughly (50% to 75% 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol) and a much smaller hydrocarbon fraction.

Eucalyptus Dives (Piperitone)

Characteristics

Eucalyptus Dives (Broad-Leaved Peppermint Eucalyptus), yields an essential oil with a clear color and fresh, minty, camphorous aroma. Its high piperitone content makes it ideal for aromatherapy, perfumery, and natural health uses.

Benefits

Eucalyptus Dives Oil acts as an expectorant, mucolytic, decongestant, and antimicrobial, providing relief from respiratory issues, congestion, and infections, making it a valuable natural solution for aromatherapy and health applications.

Eucalyptus Dives
(Cineole)

Characteristics

The Dives C, shifts away from the characteristic peppermint-camphor scent of standard Eucalyptus Dives toward a cleaner, more medicinal, cineole-dominant profile similar to traditional cineole-rich eucalyptus oils (like Eucalyptus globulus or Eucalyptus radiata).

Benefits

Because of its high eucalyptol content, this variant shares functional properties suited for respiratory support, decongestion, and antimicrobial uses, distinguishing it from the piperitone-dominant chemotype used more frequently for muscle-soothing or specialized industrial-synthetic processes.
