The Citral content is over 75%, while both Geraniol and Geranyle Acetate percentages are over 3%. We distil all our Lemon Grass Essential Oil (Cymbopogon Flexuosus) fresh via steam distillation, delivering high quality Oil for use across various industries.

During this process, the Ayanda Africa Oils team takes the 1.8 Cineole over the 80% mark while simultaneously removing the lighter, more pungent aromas.

Eucalyptus 80% Cineole Oil Characteristics
From a GC and Aroma point of view this oil is basically identical to Eucalyptus Globulus (80% Cineole). The 1.8-cineol, also known as eucalyptol, present in Eucalyptus 80% Cineole Essential Oil gives it a fruity, clear, clean, slightly camphorous, and strong aroma. The Oil is clear to pale yellow. Our Eucalyptus 80% Cineole Oil receives favourable reviews for its lovely aroma with a note of Lemon.

Almost all Eucalyptus varieties are indigenous to Australia, with over 600 recorded Eucalyptus species. The species most commonly used to produce essential oils are those containing a high cineole content. Eucalyptus Smithii, commonly grown in South Africa is the variety that Ayanda African Oils produces bulk Eucalyptus Smithii Essential Oil. We extract Eucalyptus Smithii Oil from the leaves of the Eucalyptus Smithii plant through steam distillation.

Niaouli is a small tree with papery bark. It is also known as Melaeuca Quinquenervia and is a relative of Tea Tree. Niaouli Essential Oil is steam distilled from the leaves and twigs of this Niaouli species. Ayanda African Oils produces bulk Niaouli Essential Oil of the Cineole chemotype, containing high levels of Eucalyptol.

Niaouli Oil is clear to pale-yellow or greenish in colour with a strong, camphoraceous scent. Its aroma is often described as being reminiscent of Tea Tree Oil and Eucalyptus Oil – although the scent of Niaouli Essential Oil is notably subtler.
