The Geranium plant is indigenous to South Africa and was introduced into Europe in the 17th century. There are over 250 natural species of Pelargonium which does sometimes lead to confusion regarding the different varieties. The Bourbon variety, produced by Ayanda African Oils, is yielded from the Cultivar Rose and is commonly known as the Pelargonium Graveolens.
